Here's to Women's Right to Vote!
Tuesday Aug 26, 7PM @ Red Emma's
"Courage in women is often mistaken for insanity"
In honor of Women's Equality Day, established to commemorate the ratification of the 19th Amendment, we will screen a film about the direct action women took to gain the women's right to vote. This film profiles the courageous strategies and bold tactics initiated by Alice Paul and Lucy Burns and employed by many other women. Come view an often untold history, of the relentless organizing, protesting, hunger striking, and arrests which resulted in women securing the right to vote.
