Wobfest!

Saturday Mar 27, 9AM @ 2640 (2640 St. Paul St.)

The Baltimore IWW General Membership Branch is bringing together an amazing weekend of events for Wobfest!, a regional convergence of labor organizers and troublemakers.  The full schedule is up here but the main day of workshops and events is happening on Saturday at 2640.  Check out the 2640 website or read more to find out all the details!

Everything is falling into place--the only thing we are still missing is YOU! If you haven't already, please go to
http://wobfest.iww.org today and REGISTER for the conference. You will receive $5 off your admission. (You can always choose to pay more to help us reach our fundraising goals.) Spread the word! We look forward to seeing you in less than two weeks!

There's lots more scheduled for the weekend - films, a concert, potentially a group bike ride/critical mass, and lots more:

Fellow Workers,

Here is the latest update on Wobfest 2010, a convergence of IWW members and supporters scheduled to take place March 26-28 in Baltimore, Maryland:

We are pleased to announce a venue (the Zodiac) and a list of musicians for the Saturday evening entertainment. The music will begin around 8:00 PM and will feature a wide range of musicians, some local, some from as far away as Chicago. This show is free for all Wobfest registrants. The general public will pay $5-10 sliding scale for the show.

Saturday Evening: Music (Zodicac: 1726 N. Charles St.  18+)

Featuring: Rustbelt Ramblers, Ray Owen, Aryeh Gonif, Comrade, Bean, Jasaga of R.A.M. (Radical Artist Movement)

Also, Daniel Gross' workshop on Labor Law for the Rank and Filer has been swapped with Red Emma's effective meeting facilitation training. Red Emma's will now do their training during the first session (10:00 AM) and the Labor Law workshop will be during the second session (12:30 PM) . Sunday's barbeque festivities have been fully fleshed out and will now include a puppet-making workshop.

Everything is falling into place--the only thing we are still missing is YOU! If you haven't already, please go to http://wobfest.iww.org today and REGISTER for the conference. You will receive $5 off your admission. (You can always choose to pay more to help us reach our fundraising goals.) Spread the word! We look forward to seeing you in less than two weeks!

Red Emma's is open Monday through Friday from 10AM-10PM, Saturday from 10AM-8PM, and Sunday from 10AM-6PM. Our weekly collective meetings are Sunday at 7PM, and are open to anyone interested in the project, except for the first Sunday of every month, which is closed to everyone except collective members.
Red Emma's is part of IU 660 of the Industrial Workers of the World, one of the only unions to recognize that worker collectives can stand in solidarity with those fighting the bosses as part of one big union.
