REFUSING TO FIGHT: Iraq War Resisters Tell Their Stories

A talk followed by a meet & greet with former-soldiers turned anti-war organizers.
SPEAKERS:
- STEVE deserted the U.S. Army in 2006 to resist deployment to Iraq and found temporary refuge in Canada.
- JIM fought in Fallujah during the initial invasion of Iraq as a medic attached to a Marine unit. He deserted post-deployment, which landed him in jail.
- JOSH served 14 months in Iraq in 2007 and was discharged after as a Conscientious Objector.
- KEN went AWOL numerous times before deserting to resist an Iraq deployment.

Red Emma's is open Monday through Friday from 10AM-10PM, Saturday from 10AM-8PM, and Sunday from 10AM-6PM. Our weekly collective meetings are Sunday at 7PM, and are open to anyone interested in the project, except for the first Sunday of every month, which is closed to everyone except collective members.
