Canning Class: Watermelon Rind Pickles

It's harvest time!Learn how to preserve the bounty of summer with water-bath canning.

The class will include an overview of basic canning and hands-on portion where we will learn how to pickle watermelon rind. All participants will go home with a half-pint of the pickles we make in class.

Cost of the class is $20. Materials are included. Class time is estimated to run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 or 8:30 p.m.

Red Emma's is open Monday through Friday from 10AM-10PM, Saturday from 10AM-8PM, and Sunday from 10AM-6PM. Our weekly collective meetings are Sunday at 7PM, and are open to anyone interested in the project, except for the first Sunday of every month, which is closed to everyone except collective members.
